Leadership matters when harmonizing the knowledge, skills, and talents that already exist in local communities to achieve equity. IEL’s Community Schools Team supports communities in creating comprehensive systems of support grounded in a framework of collaborative leadership.

The capacity-building technical assistance we provide has several goals:

  1. Increase the number of Community Schools that achieve equitable outcomes for children, students, families, and communities; and
  2. Increase the number of systems of collaborative leadership across whole communities.
  3. Develop and Support Leaders in Key Roles with a focus on results.

IEL focuses on preparing, supporting, and mobilizing leaders of all ages, stages, and contexts in becoming champions of equity by building their capacity to navigate effectively across sectors and facilitate inclusive decision-making. Whether you engage with us individually or in small or large groups, there’s something for everyone:

Annual National Community Schools & Family Engagement Conference:

Each year CSxFE brings together people from across the country who believe all children deserve a safe place to live and opportunities to learn and thrive. The conference is designed to catalyze collaboration, action, and a renewed commitment to transforming our practices, partnerships, and systems. Participants engage in an abundance of learning and networking opportunities designed to increase their knowledge of Family Engagement, Community Schools and other whole-child strategies. Regardless of your role in the eco-system this conference is for you.
