Lead

Build Your Leadership

The Coalition for Community Schools collaborates with local communities and national partners to build the capacity of leaders at all levels within the ecosystem. By fostering distributive leadership practices, the Coalition leverages its 12 democratically elected local leaders who serve as co-chairs for 6 national networks.

These leaders co-design the vision, plans and actions for their networks by leading learning communities that highlight best practices and lessons learned from initiatives nation-wide. With the Community School standards serving as a foundation and commitment to quality, coordinators, community-wide initiative leaders, statewide policy advocates, and others form a community of leaders that network, learn and lead together.

Collectively, the Coalition for Community Schools, a group of local, state and national partners committed to the growth and sustainability of Community Schools as a strategy to provide equitable access and opportunity to students, families and communities, offer various professional and leadership development opportunities.
