Coalition Communities foster collaborative and adaptive leadership approaches to partnership in local communities to coordinate resources across sectors through the Community Schools strategy. Shared commitment and vision knit together a complex ecosystem of support, with Community Schools at the center of strategic efforts, serving as vehicles for broader social and economic mobility for students and families. Community School leaders at all levels, in each community, work to ensure the sustainability of Community Schools and the development of the larger ecosystem through quality implementation, resource development, and advocacy. The local efforts of Coalition Communities are supported by the Coalition’s national Community Schools networks, such as regional and state networks, and a team of national partners that support capacity-building and the growth and sustainability of the strategy. These communities are led by school districts, counties, universities, nonprofits, and United Ways and are often funded by a combination of federal, state, local, and private funding.
