Thirty-three Baltimore Schools Receive Community Schools Implementation Grants
For the first time, the Family League of Baltimore is requiring schools applying for its Out of School Time funding to use the community schools strategy.
As a result, 33 Baltimore City schools were awarded OST grants, which are funded through state and local sources.
"More than 3,300 students will be served by the OST programs with additional supports for all students and families at the 33 community schools. The new grants are in addition to an increased investment in summer enrichment programs. In total, the summer programs, community schools and OST programs will serve nearly 5,000 students.
