The Ethel M. Taylor Academy elementary school last week won a national award for its Community Learning Center. The 411-student, preK-8 school was among three schools nationwide to be chosen for an Award of Excellence by the Coalition for Community Schools, a national alliance that promotes community learning centers. Principal Sean McCauley, resource coordinator Annie Bogenschutz and district school board president Eve Bolton were recognized at a breakfast with legislators in Washington, D.C.
