The Coalition for Community Schools is offering intensive community schools seminars built around the work of high-performing community schools initiatives. The seminars will provide participants from all levels of experience the opportunity to learn both from the framework described in our guide,
Scaling Up School and Community Partnerships: The Community Schools Strategy, and the experience of local community school leaders.
With an emphasis on developing strategies to take home and implement in their own schools and communities, participants will explore the community schools approach, hear from local community school leaders, and learn about the process of scaling up with a focus on creating a collaborative leadership structure, constructing a shared vision, and planning for sustainability and implementation.
Who should come? Innovators! Teams of leaders representing school districts, funders, local government, community-based organizations, higher education and other key stakeholders.
