Linkages Resources


       This document elaborates on the rationale behind the Linkages Project, and how it is used as a vehicle for school improvement. The project’s rationale is based on current research and policy initiatives that confirm that coordinating high quality programming and policy support from early childhood through the elementary grades offers a direct pathway to school improvement.

       This is a helpful chart that can provide holistic view of the linkages project. The mission of the Linkages Project is to build upon the knowledge and wisdom from communities to increase student achievement, graduation, life-long learning, and family engagement in partnership with schools.

       This diagram represents the interlinked nature of early childhood and community schools. Along the diagram are descriptions of the different stages involved in building the Linkages Project.

       The framework provides an overview of the Linkages Project, including the Project’s goals, problem statement, rationale, process and evaluation.

       This PowerPoint presentation looks deeply into the issue of chronic absences and myths and reality of it. Chronic Absence is defined as missing ten percent or more of school over an academic year.  The PowerPoint presents alarming data related to chronic absence and how it can affect children academically.
