Barton explores how each of the correlates of educational achievement found so far, what do we know about the differences in experience, on the average, among subgroups of the population, by race/ethnicity and some measure of income? e.g. If low birth-weight adversely affects cognitive development, is there a greater incidence of low birth-weight in minorities?
