New Family and Community Engagement Toolkit for At-Risk High School Students

United Way Worldwide (UWW) and the Harvard Family Research Project (HFRP) launched a new online resource toolkit for designing support programs for high school students at risk of not graduating through family and community engagement. The High School Success Toolkit is a product of UWW and HFRP’s joint Family Engagement for High School Success initiative. It includes lessons and findings from 15 pilot sites where United Way chapters brought together schools, community organizations, families, and other stakeholders to a develop a comprehensive family engagement initiative.
The toolkit is broken down into two parts: planning an engagement initiative and implementing one. It also includes profiles of pilot sites of several initiatives. Two webinars held in early December in conjunction with the toolkit are also available online.
