Nebraska Ed Department Supports for Community Schools

Federal funding in Nebraska will support community schools and other school-community partnerships related to improving student learning, and community engagement. Specifically the funding allows for before and/or afterschool programs in eight new sites. Additionally, selected programs in 14 schools across the state will continue to receive funding from 21st Century Community Learning Center grants.

These grants are a testament to the positive work happening in Nebraska surrounding its many community-school partnerships. They are also a display of federal support for community schools and their ability to strengthen communities and families, to create a better learning environment for students inside and outside the classroom.
