NAACP Endores Community Schools

Community schools are one of the reform strategies public school systems across the country should embrace, according to the NAACP’s new education reform agenda.
"Finding Our Way Back Home: Reclaiming World Leadership by Education All Children" is the historic civil rights organization’s most significant push for education overhaul since Brown v. Board of Education.
The reports calls for extended school hours and years, improved teacher training, better preschool programs, and better targeted spending and investment for needy students. Using the community schools approach is one of the ways to achieve all milestones, the report said. The report also explicitly mentions the Coalition for Community Schools as a resource.
