WEBINAR- Health & Education Policy: Improving Student Outcomes
December 16, 2010
In an era of tight public budgets, it is crucial that federal resources be well aligned and coordinated. In the education arena, Congress is working towards reauthorizing the Elementary and Secondary Education Act during the 112th Congress, which convenes in January 2011. Improving student health is a smart investment toward improving student achievement and graduation rates.
Webinar presenters Martin J. Blank and Linda Juszczak discuss how community schools and school-based health centers are joining forces to improve outcomes for youth in many places across the country. They will shed light on current policies supporting this work and how these policies can be improved to provide sustained support, so that our students are graduating high school ready for college, career, and citizenship.
Presenters:
• Martin J. Blank, President,

Coalition for Community Schools
• Linda Juszczak, Executive Director,
