Equity and Community Schools: Working for Students During Crisis

Many students have been greatly affected by what they’ve seen and heard, including students at community schools. Better Together: Equity as a Focus in Community Schools

The Pipeline+ program, started by the Netter Center for Community Partnerships, exposes underrepresented populations to the health field with the hope that they will pursue a career in the medical field. The program also allows health practitioners to learn from students about the community, and how best to interact with patients. Thank You Maame Appiah

Maame Appiah has been a pillar at the Coalition for Community Schools here at IEL for almost 10 years. She planned and coordinated multiple Community School National Forums and coordinates the Coalition’s multiple networks among numerous other responsibilities.  Maame is now transitioning to the position of Director of Finance and Human Resources for the Institute for Educational Leadership. The Coalition is truly grateful for Maame’s enormous contributions to our work and we wish her all the best at her new position at IEL, and we’ll make sure we keep her connected to the Coalition.
