Congress Members Urge Duncan to Ensure Conditions for Learning
08/16/11
Congressman Dave Loebsack (D-IA) and 14 of his fellow Members of Congress sent a letter to Secretary Arne Duncan to highlight the importance of creating schools that are safe, healthy, engaging and supportive. This political stand is an opportunity for whole-child education advocates to assert concrete steps that the Department can take to ensure that 'conditions for learning' are an essential component of our national strategy.
The Coalition’s
Rational and Results Framework discusses the conditions needed for learning along with student, family, and community results yielded. This framework also makes the case for community schools as a primary vehicle for increasing student success and strengthening families and community.
